CAGE CHESSPIECE

Cage and Duchamp's wife, Teeny, playing chess...an experimental short film featured within his 'American Masters' episode on PBS about 20 years ago. All movements of the camera (aperture, shutter speeds, focal length) were determined by chance operations, as were all the steps in the editing room (shots used, frame length, etc). The result is pretty fantastic, and surprisingly  graphic (meaning 'flat').
